SWISSE ULTIPLUS Weight Control aka. ULTIBOOST Weight Control is a weight management supplement formulated and manufactured by Swisse, which is part of the P&G family that brings you Olay and Braun products.
Weight Control is a classy looking product; not so much of the FAT MELTNG HARDCORE SHREDDER marketing hype as other products seem to rely on these days.
Unfortunately, the classiness doesn’t manifest as a great supplement.
Glucomannan is a good ingredient but you have to take 9 capsules a day to get the 3000mg, which only gives you 20 days worth of supplement.
As for the Chromium and Zinc, the other 2 ingredients – again they can help but not much compared to many other products.
You only have to follow the link in the box above to see a product that does it so much better.

Swisse Weight Control in Detail
Appetite suppression is a powerful tool when used correctly. Studies have shown that a calorie controlled diet is the most effective way to lose weight.
Glucomannan – the main ingredient of Swisse Weight Control – is one of the most effective diet pill inclusions for the physical reduction of appetite.
This fibre (fiber), taken from the root of the Konjac Plant, is used in powdered form, and can absorb a lot of water relative to its own volume. As such, it grows to form a soft mass in the stomach, thereby reducing the craving signals sent to the brain.
NOTE: it is important to drink at least 250ml of water each time you take a supplement containing Glucomannan. Swisse Weight Control is to be taken 3 times a day, therefore you should drink a large glass with each.
The following ingredients are in 1 capsule of Weight Control. Bare in mind that you will take a total of 9 capsules throughout the day, split into 3 servings of 3 capsules.
334mg – Glucomannan
1.2mg – Zinc
20.9mcg – Chromium
Chromium is included in many supplements now, due to its effect on sugar metabolism and storage. It tends to help you regulate a more a steadier blood sugar balance.
Zinc is also involved in metabolism and basic hormone function. Glucomannan is discussed above.
Always make sure you drink at least 250 ml (8 oz) of water with each serving of Swisse Weight Control.
The water helps the capsules to reach the stomach and also gives it enough liquid to absorb. Without the water the product won’t be effective at all.
Hydration is a key factor in staying energized when you are losing weight, so when you are using this product, the water you take with it should be considered additional to the 2 litres you ought to drink per day.
The company’s guidelines for usage are 3 separate servings of 3 pills before each meal of the day with a full glass of water. Taking it before meals is important – the idea being that you will need to eat less.
Side Effects and Health Issues
There should be no negative side effects from Swisse Weight Control.
Glucomannan is largely inert and only provides a physical feeing of satiety. However, definitely heed the water advice in the usage section because the only problem it could cause is blockage of the throat if for some reason you decided to take the pill dry!!
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should ask their doctor before taking any supplement, and so should anyone taking prescription medication or people that have a medical condition.
Is Swisse Ultiboost Weight Control Recommended?
We don’t recommend this product, purely because there are better products that also contain these ingredients, but that have a much more comprehensive formula of ingredients on top.
Wouldn’t you rather have the best of appetite suppression, fat burning and an energy boost in one supplement.
The best supplement for the job is LeanBean. it looks rather intense when you first lay eyes on the packaging, but trust us – it’s the best at what it does.
